Join NETES as an Instructor for a community-rooted Bachelor of Education program in Winnipeg, focusing on Indigenous adult learners. Deliver culturally respectful, engaging instruction that empowers students and supports their connection to their communities and cultures.
NETES collaborates with University College of the North to offer this innovative educational pathway. We are seeking experienced instructors who can create supportive learning environments, incorporate Indigenous perspectives, and assess student progress meaningfully. This role is instrumental in addressing barriers to education and enhancing Indigenous representation in the teaching profession.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver engaging, student-centred instruction per curriculum
• Prepare lesson plans and instructional materials
• Assess student learning and provide constructive feedback
• Foster a culturally respectful, inclusive learning setting
• Collaborate with program coordinators and community partners
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in education or related field
• 5+ years teaching experience in Indigenous settings
• Manitoba Teaching Certificate or equivalent
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s license for travel
• Clear Criminal Record and Child Abuse Registry Check
