The equity research team is looking to add an Investment Analyst who can support fundamental investment researchin theTechnology,Mediaand Communicationssector.
The ideal candidate is a fundamental investor with strong technology fluency. They should understand stocks, financial statements, valuation, and capital markets. The successful candidate will work closely with senior members of theTechnology, Media and Communications teamand portfolio managers, supporting researchacrossthe sector.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Investment Research
Conductcompany,industryand competitive analysis.
Build andmaintainfinancial models and valuation frameworks.
Analyze quarterly earnings results and management commentary.
Assistin the development of investmentrecommendationsand research reports.
Monitor company developments andidentifypotential investment opportunities.
Participate in meetings with company management teams and industry experts.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
Completion of a 4-year university degree in a business-related subject or equivalent work experience.
Minimum2-5 years of investment marketexpertise.
Completion CFA designation is an asset.
Passion for investing and active fundamental stock selection
Understanding of financial statements and valuation concepts.
Excellent analytical,writingandoralcommunication,presentationand interpersonalskills.
Ability to take initiative,
work independently and handle multiple tasks
Excellent time management skills with the ability to work under tight deadlines with commitment to excellence.
Demonstrated curiosity and desire to learn.
Advanced Excelproficiency.
Familiarity with Bloomberg, FactSet, Capital IQ, or similar platforms.
Experience with Python, SQL, VBA, Power BI, or similar toolsis an asset
This role follows ourin-officework model and requires employees to be onsite four days per week to support collaboration and business needs.
This opportunity is for an existing vacancy with the company. Theanticipatedbase salary range for this position is$115,000 to $140,000. Exactsalary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a bonus program.
