As a Support Early Childhood Educator with the South Shore Regional Centre for Education, you will assist the Lead Early Childhood Educator to create a secure environment for preschool children. You’ll play a vital role in implementing the Nova Scotia Early Learning Curriculum Framework while promoting holistic child development through exploration and social interaction. Collaboration to deliver consistent, high-quality early learning experiences is key.

Key Responsibilities:
• Create engaging, energetic learning environments for all children




• Collaborate with the Lead ECE on classroom routines
• Deliver responsive, culturally relevant programming
• Observe and document children’s developmental progress
• Facilitate family and community involvement in the program

Requirements:
• ECE Level 2 or 3 preferred
• Minimum 3 years' experience with preschool children
• Valid First Aid certification
• Satisfactory criminal record check
• Knowledge of play-based pedagogy
