Warehouse Process & Automation Engineer - Onsite The Warehouse Process & Automation Engineer owns the technical backbone of warehouse operations in an electronics manufacturing environment. This role blends process engineering, automation support, and logistics optimization to ensure materials flow efficiently and accurately. The engineer identifies opportunities for automation, supports equipment, and enhances warehouse performance through data-driven improvements.
Location: Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
Salary Range: $82,100 - $109,500 plus bonus prospect

Your Challenge Warehouse Process Engineering — Develop and optimize receiving, kitting, staging, and shipping workflows.
Automation Integration — Implement and support automation solutions such as pick-to-light, RFID, barcode automation, and AMRs.
Cycle-Time & Throughput Analysis — Identify bottlenecks between warehouse and production lines; implement corrective actions.
Material Flow Optimization — Improve replenishment logic, supermarket design, and line-side delivery.
ERP/MES Integration — Ensure accurate BOM consumption, traceability, and warehouse transaction flow.
Lean & CI Initiatives — Lead Kaizen events, 5S, waste elimination, and standard work creation.
Quality & Compliance — Support incoming inspection flow, ESD compliance, and warehouse quality controls.
Cross-Functional Support — Partner with production, planning, quality, and IT to resolve systemic issues.
What You Bring Degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Automation Engineering
6-10+ years of work experience with warehouse automation, material handling equipment, or electronics manufacturing
Strong understanding of material flow, warehouse systems, and ERP/MES
Experience with SAP S/4HANA warehouse modules is considered an asset
A background in the aerospace and defense industry is considered an asset
Hands-on experience with automation systems (AMRs, conveyors,



scanners, VLMs)
Knowledge of Lean, PFEP, Kanban, and warehouse optimization
Ability to lead technical projects and drive measurable improvements
