We are looking for a talented Advanced Warehouse Operator to join our Distribution business in (Edmonton, AB).
Will make an impact in the following ways:
Follow all Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and regulations
Safely receive, sort, label, store, pick, pack and ship incoming and outgoing products
Operate powered industrial vehicles and large forklifts to safely load and unload shipments
Maintain accurate records and perform quality checks for materials, shipments and invoices
Organize and maintain the warehouse and yard to optimize space and material flow
Coordinate trucking and shipments based on business requirements, including cross-border shipments
Maintain a clean, safe and orderly work area
Work effectively with peers, skilled trades and support teams to identify and resolve issues
Participate in training and continuous improvement activities
Maintain own tools and equipment as required duties, as required, to meet business goals. Works with peers, skilled trades and support staff to maintain and identify equipment in need of repair.
In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:
High school diploma or equivalent experience
Experience operating large forklifts and powered industrial vehicles
Ability to safely load and unload large shipments up to 50,000 lbs
Knowledge of tariffs and cross-border shipments
Experience scheduling trucking based on shipping and business requirements
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while keeping the warehouse and yard organized and functional
Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with team members and support functions
Strong attention to safety, quality and accountability
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
Requires certification to operate powered industrial vehicles (reach trucks, order pickers, pallet rider, etc.) and/or other heavy machinery.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
Requires some work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.
