As a Senior Litigation Lawyer within Intact’s Legal Affairs, you'll collaborate with Claims and Underwriting while handling a diverse portfolio of complex surety and trade credit cases. Your expertise in securities and insolvency will guide the management of recovery files, representing Intact in various legal forums and negotiations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage complex surety and trade credit claims
• Analyze and structure legal matters around securities and priority disputes
• Represent Intact in court and mediation processes
• Advise underwriting teams on complex legal files
• Develop and deliver internal training on specialized topics
Requirements:
• LL.B. or J.D., in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
• Over 10 years of experience in complex civil litigation
• Solid skills in securities and insolvency law
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Bilingualism in English and French is an asset
