Responsibilities

Manage residential real estate transactions from start to finish, including purchases, sales, refinances, deed transfers, and related matters

Draft and review legal documents, agreements, and correspondence

Prepare Wills, Powers of Attorney, Personal Directives, and assist with estate administration matters

Conduct title searches, due diligence, and identify potential legal risks

Provide practical legal advice to clients on real estate and estate planning matters

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, real estate professionals, lenders, and referral partners

Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory,



and professional obligations

Support the continued growth of the firm's real estate and Wills & Estates practice

Contribute to business development and community relationship-building initiatives

Conduct legal research and provide practical solutions on property and estate matters

Requirements

Licensed to practice law in Nova Scotia

Minimum two years of experience practicing residential real estate law

Experience in Wills & Estates is preferred, however, lawyers with a genuine interest in developing this area of practice, are encouraged to apply.

Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills

Ability to manage multiple files while maintaining exceptional attention to detail

Experience using legal practice management software considered an asset

Entrepreneurial mindset with an interest in growing a long-term practice

Strong relationship-building and client service skills

Collaborative, team-first approach

Self-starter with excellent judgment and initiativeNova Scotia Land Registration qualification considered an asset, or willingness to complete the required qualification
