Take on a key role as a Section Grower with BTN Schomberg, focusing on crop production and labor supervision. This full-time, year-round position requires adaptability and horticultural expertise.
As a Section Grower, you will manage crop activities ensuring quality, health, and productivity in your designated sections. Your responsibilities will include overseeing potting activities, monitoring crop conditions, and managing the flow of labor to successfully meet BTN's goals and seasonal needs—such as the Braided Willow and Christmas Programs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan space for and inspect incoming plant materials
• Monitor daily crop care including irrigation and pest scouting
• Supervise and train your labor crews effectively
• Maintain accurate crop inventory and reports
• Complete seasonal production activities as required
Requirements:
• 2+ years of relevant horticultural education or experience
• Robust organization and supervisory skillset
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
• Pesticide Applicator License or willingness to obtain
• Knowledge of Spanish is a benefit
