Join Manitoba Keewatinowi Okimakanak as a Gladue Pathway Support Navigator in Thompson, The Pas, or Winnipeg, Manitoba. This full-time prospect is dedicated to supporting Indigenous communities within the criminal justice system.
In this role, you will serve as a frontline professional assisting Indigenous relatives through the complexities of the justice system. Your work involves preparing Gladue Reports and collaborating with First Nations and community leaders to implement Healing & Wellness Plans that are reflective of cultural values and individual needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate interviews with individuals and families
• Coordinate access to community-based resources
• Develop culturally grounded Healing & Wellness Plans
• Submit Gladue Reports with recommendations for court
• Monitor the effectiveness of implemented plans
Requirements:
• Degree in Indigenous Studies, Social Work, or similar disciplines
• Proven experience in restorative justice practices
• Strong understanding of Indigenous cultures and trauma effects
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to travel
