Become a Medical Laboratory Technician with Blanche River Health in Kirkland Lake. This full-time, in office role involves performing testing, specimen processing, and supporting laboratory operations effectively.

Reporting to the Manager, this position offers an opportunity to engage in diverse laboratory functions under supervision. You will perform critical tasks including electrocardiogram testing, phlebotomy, and specimen management. Additionally, you will assist with report handling, equipment maintenance, and adhere to safety practices and hospital policies.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform electrocardiograms and Point Of Care testing
• Process specimens following established protocols
• Prepare and dispense tubes and reagents as required




• Maintain equipment and lab benches in optimal condition
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and patient confidentiality

Requirements:
• Graduate from an accredited Medical Laboratory program
• Active certification with MLPAO or CSMLS
• Advanced experience in Point of Care procedures
• Effective communication skills with staff and patients
• Ability to perform clerical duties accurately and quickly
