In this role, you will tackle welding, fabrication, and assembly of steel components for open-web joists and girders. As a key member of the team, your expertise in setting up equipment, interpreting blueprints, and applying consistent welds ensures the integrity of our projects. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean workspace and adhering to safety protocols as mandated by company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lift, assemble, and tack joist pieces at the jig
• Set up MIG Welding Equipment and perform welding operations
• Read and interpret shop blueprints and welding specifications
• Position and secure metal pieces according to design
• Maintain a clean work area and practice good housekeeping
Requirements:
• Minimum two years of MIG welding experience
• CWB Certification is required
• Basic English reading and math skills
• Ability to work within a team environment
• Solid safety awareness and ability to meet production standards
