Norsask Forest Products, one of Saskatchewan’s largest sawmills, is looking for a skilled Saw Filer. This role requires a minimum of three years of saw filing experience, a strong understanding of secure work practices, and the ability to work with sawmill machinery. You will sharpen, tip, and maintain saws while participating in safety meetings and coaching apprentices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Sharpen and maintain round saws effectively
• Conduct preventive maintenance on sawmill machinery
• Coach apprentices on saw filing techniques
• Participate in safety meetings and training sessions
• Ensure compliance with internal quality control standards
Requirements:
• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 3 years of saw filing experience
• Knowledge of hard tipped welding techniques
• Strong communication and analytical skills
