Join Manitoba Keewatinowi Okimakanak as a Gladue Pathway Support Navigator in Thompson, The Pas, or Winnipeg, Manitoba. This full time opportunity is dedicated to supporting Indigenous communities within the criminal justice system.
In this role, you will serve as a frontline professional assisting Indigenous relatives through the complexities of the justice system. Your work involves preparing Gladue Reports and collaborating with First Nations and community leaders to implement Healing & Wellness Plans that are reflective of cultural values and individual needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate interviews with individuals and families
• Coordinate access to community-based resources
• Develop culturally grounded Healing & Wellness Plans
• Submit Gladue Reports with recommendations for court
• Monitor the effectiveness of implemented plans
Requirements:
• Degree in Indigenous Studies, Social Work, or similar disciplines
• Proven experience in restorative justice practices
• Strong understanding of Indigenous cultures and trauma effects
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to travel
