Overview

We are looking for a Personal Support Worker to provide a 4-hour shift, ongoing Sundays at Don Valley and Donlands Avenue. Sundays from 11 am until 3 pm.

Job Summary
The Personal Support Worker/Caregiver is a member of the home care team who works under the supervision of the Care Coordinator and performs various personal care services as necessary to meet the client’s needs.

Responsibilities

- Meal Preparation
- Light Housekeeping
- Accompany clients on outings
- Shopping and errands
- Medication Reminders
- Ambulation and transporting of clients
- Provide companionship to clients
- Light Housekeeping
- Ability to follow a care plan
- Documentation/Charting

Qualifications

- Personal Support Worker Certificate or equivalent (e.g. foreign-trained nurse, nursing student after one year of completing the school).
- Current CPR/First Aid training
- Current Police Record Check or Vulnerable Sector Check or be willing to obtain one.
- Negative TB skin test or chest x-ray
- Access to the internet/mobile phone




- Great support and teamwork
- Dementia/Alzheimer's experience
- Reliable and Experienced
