Support vulnerable women at the Downtown Eastside Women’s Centre in Vancouver by becoming a Skills Development Programs Coordinator. Facilitate programs that empower women while overseeing volunteer operations.

This temporary full-time position involves working closely with shelter members and managing a team of volunteers. You will develop, orientate, and schedule volunteers while implementing essential programs that cater to the unique needs of the women you serve. A strong alignment with feminist values and an anti-oppression approach are crucial for this role.

Key Responsibilities:
• Recruit and coordinate volunteers effectively
• Design and implement educational and cultural programs
• Evaluate program outcomes to ensure effectiveness




• Collaborate with other DEWC staff for enhanced service
• Keep thorough records of volunteer and program activities

Requirements:
• At least 2 years of experience related to programming
• Proven experience in developing and facilitating programs
• Familiarity with community resources and support systems
• Understanding of trauma-informed care principles
• Effective organizational and administrative abilities
