PLC Programmer We are seeking a talented and motivated PLC Programmer to be a vital part of our Electrical Engineering team. If you have a passion for programming, we want to hear from you!
This is full-time role located at our facility in Cambridge, Ontario. Day shift Monday to Friday with some overtime. Responsible for all aspects of programming for Angstrom Engineering systems including machine start up and testing.
PAY RANGE: $29 - $47/hr
RESPONSIBILITIES Ability to translate customer needs into software requirements and code
Develop and maintain the Angstrom Engineering Software Products
Develop and program effective, logical and reusable PLC code
Configure and generate Angstrom’s software package
Integrate and verify all operational aspects of system are to specification
Support the test and process team in configuring and debugging the software
Suggest modifications or changes to standards and procedures for continuous improvement initiatives
QUALIFICATIONS OVERVIEW: Post-secondary degree in software/electrical engineering or equivalent
Strong knowledge of PLC programming, including ladder logic, function blocks and structured text
Servo programming, integration and tuning experience
Familiar with EtherCAT, Ethernet/IP, TCP/IP, RS232 and other communication platforms
Understanding of code versioning
Ability to read, follow and understand electrical schematics
Resourceful and the ability to work and grow independently
Able to troubleshoot and solve technical problems

Pay Range
The listed pay range represents the expected compensation for this position. Individual pay will be determined by factors such as job-related skills, applicable experience, and relevant education and training.
