Make a difference in the lives of victims and witnesses as a full-time Coordinator for the Victims Services Branch in Yorkton, Saskatchewan. This role focuses on providing specialized court-based assistance, particularly for children and vulnerable witnesses.
As a vital member of the Victim/Witness Services team, you will collaborate with Crown prosecutors and various agencies to support victims through the criminal court process. Key responsibilities include assessing client needs, offering educational presentations, and training professionals and volunteers. You will also supervise an administrative support role while operating within a versatile schedule, traveling throughout the Southeast Saskatchewan region.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide court-based services to victims and witnesses
• Work with Crown prosecutors to assess and support victims
• Conduct presentations and training for stakeholders
• Supervise one administrative support position
• Travel regularly within the Southeast region
Requirements:
• Bachelor of Social Work or related experience
• Knowledge of criminal justice and victim trauma
• Excellent communication skills with diverse audiences
• Ability to work independently and flexibly
• Valid driver’s license required
