Contribute to community living as a Casual Specialized Child and Youth Support Worker with Strive Living Society in Vancouver, BC. This part-time, on-site role supports youth with developmental challenges.
Strive Living Society is dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals with various abilities since 1988. Candidates will assist children and youth coping with mental health issues and developmental delays in a two-to-one care model. This position also entails following individualized protocols and promoting independence through targeted interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support clients with daily personal care and skills
• Manage behaviors and implement safety strategies
• Document and communicate client progress effectively
• Safely transport clients to various appointments
• Collaborate with staff to foster an inclusive workplace
Requirements:
• Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License with clean record
• At least 1-year experience in a similar role
• Criminal Record Clearance and First Aid training
• Positive Behaviour Management Training preferred
• Must have personal vehicle for work
