As a Journeyman Electrician reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, you’ll ensure optimal operation and compliance of electrical infrastructure, minimizing downtime while actively promoting safety measures. Your expertise in high-voltage systems will be essential across diverse areas within the mine.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain and repair electrical infrastructure effectively
• Follow preventive maintenance protocols for equipment reliability
• Execute high-voltage switching and cable terminations
• Troubleshoot complex control systems like PLCs and VFDs
• Participate in daily safety meetings and inspections
Requirements:
• Valid Electrical License in Ontario (309A)
• Robust knowledge of 13.8 kV and 4160V systems
• Familiarity with SAP for maintenance tasks
• Solid communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to lift over 50 lbs and work in challenging conditions
