LAMP Community Health Centre is a multi-service, community based charitable organization that provides a wide range of programs and services to improve a person's health. LAMP uses a co-ordinated approach to connect people to medical services and other programs that build personal resources. Develop, implement and evaluate the annual communications and engagement plan and workplan.

Provide communications advice to leadership and recommend improvements to organizational communications.

Ensure consistent branding, messaging and visual identity across the organization.

Develop communication plans supporting strategic initiatives, organizational change and priority projects.

Work closely with leaders and teams from across the teams to identify, develop and distribute key messages and build function specific content for internal and external audiences

Creates and updates content (e.g., internal communications, staff newsletters, intranet updates, ED bulletins, etc.)

Lead development of crisis communication plans and coordinate relevant training to staff as appropriate

Develop internal communications including newsletters, leadership messages, intranet content and staff updates.

Create and maintain communication templates, policies and standards consistent with AODA requirements.

Lead website content management and oversee organizational social media channels.

Develop engaging multimedia content including graphics, photography, video and infographics.

Monitor website,



social media and campaign analytics and prepare quarterly performance reports.

Develop promotional materials including brochures, posters, presentations, newsletters and digital publications.

Coordinate media relations, prepare press releases, key messages, briefing notes and executive speeches.

Coordinate production of the Annual Report and other corporate publications.

Plan and execute communication strategies supporting community events, advocacy and outreach initiatives.

Manage external vendors including web developers, photographers, designers and communications contractors.

Support grant, funder, Board and leadership communications as required.

Manage communications projects, timelines and budgets within approved resources.

Develop and distributes external communication print materials (e.g., signage, newsletters, program calendars, flyers, posters, and handouts)

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Post-secondary degree or diploma in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.

Minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible communications experience, preferably in healthcare, non-profit or community sectors.

Demonstrated understanding of the Social Determinants of Health and experience with advocacy within the non-profit environment.

Exceptional writing, editing, presentation and storytelling skills.

Experience developing communication plans and managing multiple concurrent projects.

Experience with media relations, digital communications and stakeholder engagement.

Meaningful experience with design and creation of materials for various media formats (i.e.social media, print, video).





Fully proficient with various social media platforms including Linkedin, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.

Knowledge of health equity, social determinants of health and anti-oppressive practice.

Demonstrated ability to communicate complex information clearly to diverse audiences.

Knowledge and experience applying AODA legislated requirements including equitable and accessible communications principles

Knowledge of LAMP Community Health Centre, the South Etobicoke community, and/or a second language that is reflective of the community being served are all preferable assets
