Landscape Supervisor
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Position Summary
The Landscape Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily landscaping operations, leading field crews, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise, motivate, and support a team of landscapers to ensure projects are completed efficiently and professionally.

Plan, organize, and assign daily work schedules to maximize productivity and meet project deadlines.

Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality workmanship, safety compliance, and client satisfaction.

Train, mentor, and evaluate crew members to promote skill development and high performance.

Operate, inspect, and coordinate maintenance of landscaping equipment and tools.

Communicate effectively with clients to understand project requirements, provide updates, and address concerns.

Monitor inventory levels of landscaping materials, tools, and supplies, and coordinate replenishment as required.

Ensure compliance with all workplace health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.

Track project progress, prepare reports, and assist with scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.

Participate in recruiting, onboarding, and developing new team members.

Perform additional supervisory and operational duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.





Post-secondary education in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, or a related field is considered an asset.

Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in the landscaping or grounds maintenance industry.

Strong knowledge of landscaping practices, plant materials, irrigation systems, and equipment operation.

Proven leadership, team management, and conflict resolution skills.

Excellent communication, organizational, and time management abilities.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Ability to lift heavy materials and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Working Conditions

Full time, permanent position.

Primarily outdoor work in various weather conditions.

May require lifting, carrying, and operating landscaping equipment and machinery.

Work hours may vary depending on seasonal demands, project schedules, and weather conditions.
