About the Role Our client is searching for a skilled Chemical Process Safety Specialist to join their globally distributed team, working remotely. This role is essential for upholding the highest levels of safety in chemical operations by developing, implementing, and managing robust process safety programs. You will provide expertise in hazard identification, risk assessment, and the development of safety protocols. This is a key opportunity for a safety-focused professional to drive a robust safety culture and ensure compliance from a remote work setting.
Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain Process Safety Management (PSM) systems and procedures.
Conduct and facilitate Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs), including HAZOP, LOPA, and risk assessments.
Review Management of Change (MOC) requests and Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSRs) to ensure safety integrity.
Investigate process safety incidents and near misses, identifying root causes and implementing preventative measures.
Develop and deliver training programs on process safety principles and practices.




Audit compliance with PSM standards and internal company policies across various operational sites.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field.
5+ years of dedicated experience in process safety engineering within the chemical or petrochemical industry.
Comprehensive understanding of PSM elements, including PHA, MOC, PSSR, and mechanical integrity.
Proven experience in facilitating PHAs and conducting incident investigations.
Strong knowledge of relevant safety standards and regulations.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills for effective remote engagement.
