Support Métis cultural education as a Cultural Coordinator for the MNBC. Drive resource development and facilitate engaging learning experiences for various audiences.
As part of the Ministry of Culture, Heritage and Language, the Cultural Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the Cultural Integration and Resource portfolio. This position requires a passion for Métis culture and experience in educational development. The successful candidate will also work closely with Métis communities to ensure accurate cultural representation and resource creation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop educational resources on Métis culture and history
• Conduct workshops and presentations to engage diverse audiences
• Provide cultural guidance to MNBC staff and citizens
• Foster relationships with Métis communities and Elders
• Assist in grant proposals promoting Métis cultural initiatives
Requirements:
• Diploma in Indigenous Studies or relevant field
• Minimum three years in educational development
• At least two years in workshops facilitation
• Knowledge of resource writing and qualitative research
• Robust organizational and problem-solving skills
Lead educational efforts that celebrate and affirm Métis culture within the community through meaningful engagement.
