About the role Transam Carriers is a Toronto-based asset carrier — 120+ trucks, cross-border LTL and truckload into the US and back, our own customs desk and a cross-dock in Concord.
We are rebuilding the sales function, and we are honest about the starting point: there is a small group selling today and no one whose full time job is leading them. You would be the first person to own that. This is a build, not a maintenance job.
What you would own Building and leading the sales team — hiring reps, setting territory and account coverage, running the cadence
Turning our existing customer and lead data into a working pipeline. We haul freight for companies we have never sold to properly; that history is the raw material
Setting the standard for what a good week looks like — calls, meetings, quotes out, loads booked
Owning the number: new shipper revenue and margin, not just activity
Working alongside dispatch so what sales promises is what operations can actually run
What we are looking for You have led freight or logistics salespeople before,
or you have been the top rep and are ready to build the team you wish you'd had
You understand asset-based carrier economics — that a load is only good if the truck's next move is good
You can sell yourself, in front of a shipper, this quarter. This is not a role that only manages
Cross-border experience is a real advantage: customs, bonded freight, and the difference between a lane that looks profitable and one that is
What we offer A carrier with its own trucks, its own customs desk and its own dock — you are selling capacity we control, not brokered promises
20+ years of operating history and an existing customer base to build from
Direct line to ownership. Decisions get made in days, not quarters
Based at our Concord terminal
How we hire We use an AI phone screen for the first conversation on some roles — you will be told before it starts, and a person makes every hiring decision.
Pay: Depends on qualification
Canada / US cross-border lanes.
