The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Manufacturing Engineering department in a variety of tasks including but not limited to determining the most safe and efficient way to produce and test a product as well as supporting the activities regarding the recent MDA Space building.This is a 16 month term starting in May 2026.Job Responsibilities:Evaluate manufacturing methods/processes under the guidance of the Manufacturing Engineers regarding product:Design,Fabrication,Assembly,Tooling,Materials; Support improvement processes regarding company manufacturing efficiency by analyzing:Work flow,Space requirements,Equipment layout.Contribute to the product and process quality by setting up and assisting with the:Execution of the designing testing methods and equipment; Testing finished product and process capabilities; Establishing standards; Confirming manufacturing processes.Participate in the product development meetings and assist with implementation of the specified recommendations for product design changes to enhance manufacturing and assemblySupport in standardization initiatives, such as:Implementing 5S practice in the office and lab spacesStreamlining processes through documentation and lean optimizationDeveloping quick‑win solutions to improve from current state into future stateJob Requirements / Education:Interested candidates should be enrolled in their official co‑op program and have general manufacturing engineering skills typical of a second/third year Bachelors of Engineering student, or related field experience and a combination of:Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with a strong emphasis on ExcelKnowledge or understanding of the:MRP systems (i.E.
