Metro Vancouver is looking for a contract Business Intelligence Developer to work with the IT Data Analytics team on Microsoft Fabric, an on premise Data Warehouse with SQL Server Integration Services, SQL Database and PowerBI.

This assignment could start as early as November 1st, 2026.

This work will be performed virtually (3 days) and in person (2 days).

Lake Bronze, Silver, and Gold data layers using Medallion Architecture principles Data pipelines using Fabric Data Factory, Dataflows, notebooks, and SSIS where appropriate Data transformation and loading into Fabric Lakehouses, Data Warehouses, and analytical data stores Error handling, monitoring, and data quality controls Power BI security, semantic models, dashboards, reports, and workspace administration Troubleshooting day-to-day Fabric, data warehouse, and data integration issues The position requires the following technical qualifications: '' Extensive analytic development experience with Microsoft Fabric and preferably Microsoft Power Platform.



'' Experience with on premise Data Warehouse reusable framework design and implementation '' Good understanding of cloud design considerations for data storage and processing '' Experience with data modeling '' Experience with building data pipelines and ETL processes '' Extensive development experience with technologies including: SSIS, SQL Server, REST API, OLAP cubes, BI Analytic tools '' Advanced Power BI Service configurations such as Power BI Data
