Cloud Network Architect Location: Calgary, AB Work Arrangement: Hybrid Employment Type: Full-Time Permanent (FTE) Experience: 8 10 Years Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Cloud Network Architect with strong expertise in Microsoft Azure, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), enterprise networking, and hybrid cloud connectivity .

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, securing, and optimizing large-scale multi-cloud network architectures across Azure, OCI, and on-premises environments.

Required Technical Skills Azure Networking: Azure Virtual WAN (vWAN), Hub-and-Spoke, VNets, Subnets, VNet Peering, Azure DNS, VPN Gateway, Express

Route, Load Balancer, Application Gateway, Azure Front Door (AFD), Azure Firewall, NSGs, ASGs, Private Endpoints, and Service Endpoints.

Oracle Cloud Networking: VCN, DRG, Rapid

Connect, Site-to-Site VPN, OCI Load Balancer, NSGs, Route Tables, and Security Lists.

Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, ARM Templates, Power

Shell, and Azure CLI.

Hybrid Cloud Networking: Express

Route, Fast

Connect, VPN, SD-WAN, routing, connectivity, and integration between cloud and on-premises environments. SD-WAN: Hands-on experience with Versa SD-WAN and enterprise WAN architectures.

Networking: Strong understanding of TCP/IP, BGP, DNS, routing, switching, network security, traffic engineering, and connectivity troubleshooting.

Microsoft Azure: Strong knowledge of Azure cloud infrastructure, networking, security, IAM, hybrid connectivity, automation, monitoring, and IaC.

Monitoring & Operations: Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Network Watcher, and OCI Monitoring.

Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, highly available cloud network architectures across Azure and OCI .

Lead the design and deployment of Azure vWAN, Hub-and-Spoke,



Express

Route, VPN, Azure Firewall, Application Gateway, and Azure Front Door solutions.

Design and manage OCI networking services including VCNs, DRGs, Fast

Connect, Site-to-Site VPN, Route Tables, Security Lists, NSGs, and Load Balancers .

Develop and manage hybrid connectivity between cloud platforms and on-premises data centers.

Configure and optimize NSGs, ASGs, UDRs, Private Endpoints, Service Endpoints, and cloud firewall controls.

Troubleshoot complex network connectivity, routing, DNS, latency, and performance issues across multi-cloud environments.

Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, ARM Templates, Power

Shell, and Azure CLI .

Manage and integrate Versa SD-WAN with cloud and on-premises network environments.

Conduct network architecture reviews, capacity planning, risk assessments, security assessments, and technology evaluations.

Monitor network performance using Azure and OCI monitoring tools.

Collaborate with security, infrastructure, cloud, and application teams to ensure adherence to enterprise networking and security standards.

Create and maintain network architecture diagrams, technical standards, policies, and operational documentation.

Provide technical leadership, guidance, and best practices for cloud networking, security, automation, and hybrid connectivity initiatives.

Qualifications 8 10 years of hands-on experience in Azure, OCI, and enterprise networking .

Strong experience designing and implementing large-scale cloud and hybrid network architectures .

Proven experience with Azure and OCI networking services .

Strong understanding of enterprise network security and cloud connectivity.

Hands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code .

Excellent troubleshooting, architecture, communication, and technical leadership skills.
