Early Childhood Educator (ECE / IT / SN / ECEA)

Khalsa Childcare Centre is seeking passionate, caring, and dedicated educators to join our growing team. If you are committed to providing high-quality early learning in a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment, we’d love to hear from you.

Currently we are looking for ECE’s, IT’s for our different locations.

Base Hourly Wage

- Early Childhood Educator (ECE): $20.50/hour
- Infant Toddler Educator (IT)/Special Needs Educator (SN): $22.50/hour
- ECE Assistant (ECEA): $18.50/hour

Plus an experience premium of up to $2.00/hour, based on experience.

BC Government ECE Wage Enhancement (ECEWE)

Eligible ECE-certified educators receive the BC Government Early Childhood Educator Wage Enhancement (ECEWE) of up to $6.00/hour, in addition to their base wage.

What You’ll Do

- Provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning workplace for children.
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate educational programs.
- Foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Maintain BC Child Care Licensing standards and health & safety requirements.
- Document children’s learning and communicate with families using our childcare app.

Qualifications

- Valid BC ECE, Infant Toddler (IT), Special Needs (SN), or ECE Assistant certification.
- Valid Emergency Child Care First Aid Certificate.




- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
- Fluency in English is a strong asset.
- Experience working in a licensed childcare setting is an asset.

- Valid Emergency Child Care First Aid Certificate
- Two work-related references
- Immunization records (as required)
- Copy of valid BC ECE, IT, SN or ECEA certification
- Shortlisted candidates must successfully complete an English language assessment as part of the hiring process.
