We are looking for aSenior PLC & Automation Engineerwith 5+ years of experience in automation and control systems to join our Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls (EI&C;) Engineering team. You’ll work on custom water technology projects, developing PLC, HMI, and SCADA applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and supporting commissioning activities across North America.This is ahybrid role based in Oakville, offering the opportunity to work on innovative automation projects in a dynamic and collaborative environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, test, and implementPLC, HMI, and SCADA programsfor various water technology systems.Collaborate withcross-functional project teamsand participate in client meetings to ensure technical alignment and quality deliverables.Read and interpretengineering documentationincluding P&IDs;, electrical schematics, I/O lists, and network architectures.Ensure compliance withcustomer specifications, project scope, budget, and timelines .Troubleshoot control systems and supportnetwork design and commissioningboth remotely and on-site.Maintain and improvestandardized process control documentationand automation best practices.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Engineeringor equivalent (Electrical, Automation, or related field).Minimum 5 years of experienceas an Automation or PLC Engineer.Proven experience withRockwellandSchneiderPLC systems (must-have).Experience withSiemensorEmersonautomation platforms is a strong plus.Strong knowledge ofcontrol systems, network design, and VFDs .Excellent communication, problem-solving,
and organizational skills.Professional Engineer (P.Eng.)designation or eligibility in Canada is preferred.Expected Compensation Range:50K to 115K or 50$h to 70$h. The final compensation offered will bedetermined based on the candidate’s level of experience, skills, and qualifications, in compliance with applicable pay transparency requirements.Canadian Experience Requirement:No Canadian work experience is required for this position.
