Job Description

- Inspect andtest mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
- Adjust,repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems
- Repair orreplace mechanical units or components
- Test andadjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications
- Performscheduled maintenance service
- Test andadjust units to specifications
- Advisecustomers on work performed and future repair requirements
- Completereports to record problems and work performed
- Coach andinstruct apprentices

Requirements





- Must have aminimum of 5 years or more of experience as Automotive Mechanic.
- Must have area ofspecialization in engine repair and diesel engines
- Must have dieselengine repair specialization and major internal engine repairs or overhaul.
- Must have a criminalrecord check and driving record check (abstract).
- Must have owntransportation and a valid driver's licence.
- Must be willing towork in a quick-paced environment, with hand-eye co-ordination, attention todetail, manual dexterity, and standing for extended periods.
- Must have own toolsand steel-toed safety boots.
- Must have accuracy,client focus, dependability, excellent oral communication, excellent writtencommunication, judgement, reliability, and be a team player.
- Must have anAutomotive Service Technician Trade Certification
