Job Summary: The Senior Project Manager/Leader will oversee the planning, execution, and successful deployment of ePrescribing solutions within a healthcare digital infrastructure initiative.
This role focuses on improving clinical workflows by managing electronic health-related projects, coordinating stakeholders, and ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards to enhance patient care delivery across the health system.
Responsibilities: Engage and manage stakeholders, including vendors and clients, to ensure alignment and effective communication.
Develop and manage integrated project plans and contribute to program governance and advisory committees.
Manage project risks, issues, and service change requests to ensure timely and quality delivery.
Track deployment progress and provide reporting on project status and outcomes.
Coordinate across matrix organizational environments to facilitate collaboration and conflict resolution.
Required Skills & Certifications: 5-8 years of project management experience in electronic health-related projects, preferably with clinical software system deployments.
Strong knowledge of project management concepts including goals, risk, scope, roles, planning, scheduling, and quality management. 2-4 years of experience or knowledge of medication workflows and business processes in pharmacies, hospitals,
and health records.
Excellent verbal and written communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Time management skills to handle tight deadlines and multiple projects.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent knowledge of PMI''s PMBOK.
Experience with project management software such as MS Project and MS Teams.
Familiarity with project delivery methodologies including Waterfall and Agile.
Applied knowledge of privacy policies and legislation such as HPPA, FIPPA, and PHIPA.
Preferred Skills & Certifications: Undergraduate degree in Health, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related discipline.
Experience operating in politically sensitive environments and across diverse organizational cultures.
Experience with health system business implementation and deployment projects.
Working knowledge of Health Information Custodian (HIC) requirements.
Robust customer service orientation in stakeholder liaison roles.
Special Considerations: Must be able to work up to 3 days onsite at manager''s discretion.
Experience working in public sector environments is preferred.
Scheduling: Standard project management work schedule with potential for onsite presence as required.
