CLINICAL LEAD – INDIGENOUS ADDICTION SERVICES (28-26) B'SAANIBAMAADSIWIN PROGRAMPurpose of the Position: The Addictions Team provides direct clinical services to individuals and their families in need of counselling and case management. The team delivers high‑quality assessment and individual/group treatment/counselling interventions following best practice recommendations. The Clinical Lead is a senior clinician and leader within the designated service, providing clinical supervision, operational support, and leadership for day‑to‑day operations, ensuring high quality and consistency that supports the mission, vision, core values, and principles of the organization under the direction of the Program Manager and policy.Program Overview: B'Saanibamaadsiwin is an innovator in developing new programs and services through advocacy and system innovation. The program harmonizes traditional wellness and healing with contemporary treatment approaches. It has been established for over 35 years and has a stable health‑allyship role between CMHAMPS and Indigenous communities.Education and QualificationsPreferred qualifications include a master’s level post‑secondary degree in Psychology, Psychiatric Nursing, Social Work, or an equivalent degree.Current registration and in good standing with one of the following Colleges: CNO, COTO, CPSO, CPBAO, CRPO, or OCSWSSW.Eligibility and application in the process for membership may be considered.Knowledge of Indigenous populations within the traditional lands of the Williams and Robinson Huron Treaty (specifically Muskoka and Parry Sound Districts).Knowledge and awareness of Indigenous culture and an understanding of the importance of traditional language.Identify and describe a range of traditional and non‑traditional healing and wellness practices and sources of expertise including elders and healers (Two‑Eyed‑Seeing approach).Clinical consultation and supervision experience,
including case conceptualization and documentation, preferred.Minimum of 2 years full‑time experience with mental health and substance use service provision applicable to the requirements of the position.Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.Knowledge of current “best practice” as required by the position.Knowledge of current provincial addictions and mental health policy applicable to the position.Demonstrated experience and knowledge in the practices of addiction counselling and psychotherapy.Demonstrated experience in providing group, individual, and walk‑in counselling and psychotherapy.Practical experience and knowledge working with people with reliable mental illnesses and addictions and a commitment to their rights.Ability to work autonomously as well as cooperatively within a team environment in a rural setting.Excellent communication, organization and interpersonal skills.Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, the Internet, and data management software.A willingness to serve clients within the communities of the District of Muskoka and Parry Sound.A valid Ontario G or G2 driver’s license, a safe and reliable means of transportation, and appropriate insurance for work purposes on your vehicle with a minimum of $1,000,000 in liability coverage.Bilingual in French/English language considered an asset.Work schedule may include days/evenings/weekends and statutory holidays.Salary$38.36 to $48.39 per hour, commensurate with qualifications and experience.BenefitsA comprehensive benefit plan and enrollment in a Registered Retirement Plan with HOOPP where contributions start on the date of hire.Equal Opportunity EmploymentCanadian Mental Health Association Muskoka – Parry Sound (CMHAMPS) is an equal‑opportunity employer and we value the importance of diversity, dignity, and worth of every individual in the workplace.Qualified consumers/survivors and/or family members are encouraged to apply.#J-18808-Ljbffr
