Our client, a Canadian Financial Institution, is seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager for a 12 month full time contract (likely to extend) to lead high-stakes initiatives within their Borrowing and Finance line of business.This is a "cradle-to-grave" delivery role where you will navigate complex regulatory frameworks and drive the implementation of large-scale commercial lending solutions. If you thrive in high-governance environments and possess a deep understanding of credit risk and debt financing, this is your next career-defining mandate.Core ResponsibilitiesEnd-to-End Delivery: Lead complex projects from initiation through to implementation, ensuring successful business outcomes, on-time delivery, and budget adherence.Strategic Advisory: Act as a trusted advisor to the Project Sponsor and C-Suite stakeholders, providing insights on business cases, KPIs, and ROI.Risk & Governance: Execute project requirements within strict enterprise risk, regulatory, and compliance frameworks.Financial Oversight: Manage and validate project financial forecasts, conducting ongoing reconciliation for multi-million dollar budgets.Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Negotiate complex contracts with external vendors and lead cross-functional teams of up to 50 members across Technology, Business, and Operations.Change Management: Socialize change plans with stakeholders and measure project adoption effectiveness.What You BringDomain Expertise: 6-8 years of Project Management experience specifically within Commercial Lending,
Corporate Finance, or Wholesale Banking.The "Self-Starter" Mindset: Proven ability to manage ambiguity and drive results in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.Methodology Mastery: Deep experience with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid methodologies within a Tier-1 banking governance structure.Communication: Expert-level stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and negotiate at the Executive level.Analytical Rigor: Data-driven decision-making skills with experience in financial forecasting and performance dashboards.RequirementsEducation: University degree in Business or Finance; an MBA is considered a robust asset.Certification: PMP Designation is highly preferred.Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the commercial loan lifecycle and regulatory standards (OSFI, etc.).Availability: Ability to work a hybrid schedule (2 days in-office in Downtown Toronto) and support core hours of 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM CT.Why Apply?Work on high-profile transformation projects within a "Digital First" culture.Competitive contract rates with a high likelihood of extension.Experience the "Dress For Your Day" (DFYD)culture in a modern, collaborative environment.The target hiring compensation range for this role is between 65/hr to 85/hr depending on overall experience.
