Responsibilities Analyze and improve operational flows, automation strategies, and manual sorting processes across sites Contribute to the development of operating standards and continuous improvement initiatives using Lean principles and ergonomic standards Support the design, testing, and implementation of new stations, including layout planning and equipment selection Create and update technical drawings on AutoCAD, validating designs with engineering Conduct data analysis on throughput, costs, and quality metrics to define sorting thresholds and support decision-making Participate in field visits to gather insights, assess equipment performance, and support project execution Assist in preparing visual aids, documentation, and recommendations for automation and material handling projects The role involves daily (or regular) communication with pan-Canadian stakeholders.
Qualifications Currently pursuing a bachelor''s degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
Solid interest in operational excellence and performance improvement with an eagerness to learn.
Proficient in Excel, with a focus on data analysis Understanding RFI, RFP, and RFQ processes is an asset.
Familiarity with automated warehouse or HUB environments is an asset.
Familiarity with process mapping, time studies, capacity analysis, workflow analysis, and Lean methodologies is an asset.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD or similar CAD software, with the ability to create, modify, and interpret technical drawings and facility layouts.
Proactive and solution driven mindset.
