Associate Lawyer Estate Litigation Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid 1 Day in Office) About the Company Forge is pleased to partner with a respected boutique litigation firm in Toronto with a strong focus on Estates & Trusts Litigation.
Our client is seeking an Associate Lawyer to join their collaborative and growing team.
The firm offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced litigators on sophisticated estate disputes while providing a supportive workplace focused on professional development, mentorship, and long-term career growth.
About the Role Manage a caseload of Estates & Trusts Litigation matters, including will challenges, capacity disputes, estate trustee disputes, passing of accounts, and trust litigation.
Conduct legal research and analyze Ontario statutes, case law, and legal precedents relevant to estate litigation matters.
Draft pleadings, motion materials, affidavits, factums, correspondence, and other litigation documents in accordance with Ontario''s Rules of Civil Procedure.
Represent clients in mediations, discoveries, motions, and court proceedings.
Manage files with increasing autonomy while collaborating with senior lawyers on complex matters.
Communicate regularly with clients, providing strategic advice, updates on file progression, and guidance throughout the litigation process.
Work closely with experienced litigators and support professionals to deliver high-quality legal services.
The Offer Competitive compensation package and benefits.
Total compensation for a 4th-year call expected to be approximately $180,000 , depending on experience, billings, and overall fit.

What You Bring As an ideal candidate, you possess 4+ years of post-call experience with meaningful experience in Estates & Trusts Litigation.
You have strong advocacy, drafting, and client management skills, with the ability to independently manage files while maintaining a high level of attention to detail and professionalism.
Candidates with a dedicated Estate Litigation practice or significant experience in estate disputes will be strongly preferred.
