You will be the sole finance person, working directly with the co-founders. This is a hands‑on, full‑cycle role covering bookkeeping, tax, HST, payroll, and financial reporting. As a growing startup, we are building out our finance function properly for the first time. You will work alongside external tax advisors while owning the day‑to‑day books and operations. You are not expected to handle everything alone, but you will run the day‑to‑day and know when to bring in outside help.ResponsibilitiesAccounting & ReportingMaintain books in QuickBooks Online or XeroPerform monthly bank and Stripe reconciliationPrepare monthly financial statements (P&L;, balance sheet, cash flow)Share monthly financial updates with the co-foundersTax & CRA CompliancePrepare and file annual corporate tax returns (T2)Manage HST/GST filings, remittances, and Input Tax Credit (ITC) recoveryManage CRA correspondence and maintain the company in good standingAdvise on tax planningPayroll & HRProcess payroll and ensure remittances (CPP, EI, income tax)
