Intermediate Teacher (Westcot Elementary School)Full time (1.0 FTE), effective September 8th, 2026 until June 30th, 2027.Salary range: $59,711 to $109,520, prorated based on FTE, dependent on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.Required Qualifications and ExperienceA clear understanding of the characteristics of intermediate students and the ability to develop a positive learning environment addressing the intellectual, physical, and emotional needs of intermediate students.Demonstrated ability and experience to teach, assess, and plan an intermediate program.A wide repertoire of strategies addressing assessment (formative, summative, peer and self).Proven ability to frame the curriculum and classroom management around equity, diversity, inclusivity, and reconciliation.Knowledge and experience working with learners with varying needs and support staff; demonstrated ability todifferentiate instruction in the classroom.Hold a valid BC teaching certificate.Demonstrated knowledge and experience with AIMS Gesture French or TPRS program is an asset.Knowledge and experience in adapting learning objectives and strategies to meet the needs of English Language Learners at varying levels.Strong interpersonal, communication,
