About the Role We are seeking an Associate Lawyer to join a high-performing insurance litigation team.
This role focuses on general insurance and professional indemnity matters, offering exposure to the full litigation lifecycle including mediations, arbitrations, trials, and appeals.
You will work on complex commercial disputes, draft pleadings and motion materials, conduct legal research, and appear in court independently or alongside senior counsel.
This position provides significant responsibility and the opportunity to develop advocacy skills while managing client relationships in a collaborative team environment.
The Offer Competitive salary range of $130,000 to $170,000 per annum based on experience.

What You Bring Law degree from a recognized institution and active member of the BC Bar in good standing. 2-6 years of post-qualification experience in general insurance and professional indemnity.
Solid litigation experience including drafting, motion work, and court appearances.
Coverage analysis experience under insurance policies is advantageous.
Excellent written and oral advocacy skills with sound legal judgment.
Strategic thinking with ability to communicate complex matters clearly to clients.
Entrepreneurial mindset with strong relationship-building capabilities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
