The Office Assistant interfaces with all studio renters; manages bookings, oversees studio sound equipment used by renters and deals with rental invoicing. They also provide administrative, clerical, and database support at Jörgen Dance. This position is an excellent entry level position for anyone who is interested in working in the arts and/or non-profit industries, exposing the individual to fundamental aspects of arts administration. The position requiresexceptional time management and organizational skills, and the ability to multitask as it often requires switching between different tasks throughout the day.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Open and close the officeand studiosduring rental hours
- Answer telephoneand emailinquiries
- Monitor office and studio equipmentand supplies
- Manage studio bookings and related matters in coordination withthe Business Operations Manager
- Provide database support as needed and appropriate
- General office administrationtasks and other dutiesas needed
