**Job Title: Forklift Operator**
**Job Description**
This role involves safely operating reach trucks and order pickers within a busy plumbing distribution center, with a focus on material handling, order picking, and inventory tasks.

You will spend most of your time on material handling equipment while also performing some physical work in the pipeyard, following all safety standards and procedures.
**Responsibilities**
Operate reach trucks and order pickers to move, store, and retrieve materials within a busy plumbing distribution center.

Follow all safety standards and procedures, including the proper use of harnesses and other required safety equipment.

Work primarily on material handling equipment while also performing general labor tasks as needed.

Pick and pack customer orders accurately and efficiently using RF scanners.

Handle materials in the pipeyard, including loading, unloading, and organizing pipes and related products.

Perform warehouse duties such as inventory counting, replenishment, and stock rotation.

Use forklifts and other warehouse equipment to move products safely and efficiently.

Lift and move items weighing 50 pounds or more as part of daily material handling and order picking activities.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in the warehouse and pipeyard.

Collaborate with team members and follow instructions from supervisors to meet productivity and accuracy targets.
**Essential Skills**
Minimum 2+ years of material handling equipment (MHE) experience operating a reach truck or counterbalance forklift.

Minimum 2+ years of warehouse forklift experience in a distribution or warehouse environment.

Proficiency using RF scanners for picking, inventory, and warehouse transactions.

Experience with inventory, picking, general labor, packing, and warehouse operations.

Ability to lift and move 50+ pounds regularly as part of material handling and order fulfillment.

Comfort working on material handling equipment for most of the shift and performing some physical labor tasks.

Ability to follow safety standards, including wearing a harness and using safety equipment correctly.

Robust attention to detail and accuracy when picking, packing, and handling materials.

Reliability and ability to work scheduled night/3rd shift hours.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
Combilift experience is a strong asset.

Previous experience working in a distribution center environment.

Comfort working in a pipeyard or outdoor/partially outdoor warehouse setting.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Woodbridge, ON.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $24.11 - $24.11/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
