**Job Description:**
**TD Securities Overview**
TD Securities provides a wide range of capital market products and services to corporate, government, and institutional clients who choose us for our knowledge, innovation, and experience in the following key areas of finance: Investment and Corporate Banking, Capital Markets, Interest Rate, Currency and Derivative Products. TD Securities works with clients around the world to provide services that include the underwriting and distribution of new debt and equity issues, providing advice on strategic acquisitions and divestitures, and executing daily trading and investment needs.
**Undergraduate**
**Mentorship Program Goal**
The TD Securities University Mentorship Program (UMP) is an initiative undertaken by the TD Securities Women at TD committee to encourage women to explore the exciting world of Capital Markets and embrace a career within it.
The objective of the program, through one-on-one mentoring relationships with TD Securities leaders alongside tailored group events, is to provide students with a wealth of knowledge and valuable guidance related to career choices and potential summer co-op & post graduate opportunities in TD Securities.
**Mentorship Program Structure**
The program will accept undergraduate students who identify as women from various Canadian universities and who are currently enrolled in either their first or second year of studies.
Selected mentees will be matched with a TD Securities mentor (woman or man).
The number of participants that will be accepted is as follows:
~10-15 applicants in their first year of study
~15-20 applicants in their second year of study
Mentors and mentees enter into structured mentoring relationships for a period of 6 months (from approximately October 2026 – April 2027) covering a variety of significant and career-defining topics.
Mentoring relationships formally conclude at the end of 6 months; however, both mentor and mentee are encouraged to continue to keep in touch as they see fit.
The Mentorship program's group events may provide mentees the opportunity to: Meet individuals from different product groups and tour the trading floor;
Participate in job shadowing across various TD Securities groups;
Network and develop relationships with TD Securities personnel;
Seek advice to build a career in Capital Markets;
Experience TD's diverse and inclusive culture first-hand.
Please note that participation in the mentorship program is unpaid, and is intended for learning, mentorship and networking.
While participation in the mentorship program may result in future paid opportunities with TD, this cannot be guaranteed.
**Mentee Eligibility Criteria**
1) 1st or 2nd year undergraduate student who identifies as a woman, including a transgender woman (graduating in spring 2028 or 2029);
2) Has an interest in a career in Capital Markets and TD;
3)
Has strong academic records evidenced via their transcript;
4) Is prepared to commit time and energy to this program;
5) Demonstrates leadership skills (e.g. extracurricular clubs, sports)

3) Availability (confirm commitment to two, one-on-one mentorship sessions and one group event, per month)
4) Essay submission with the following information: Name & Program
Answer one of the following (either topic a or b, in a maximum of 400 words): _a. "Describe an experience that has shaped you as a leader"_
or _b. "What experience made you interested in a career in capital markets?"_
Answer: "What are your goals and expectations of the mentoring program?" (in a maximum of 100 words)
