In this permanent full-time role, you will focus on providing support via the Shelter Support Line. Your day-to-day tasks will include responding to shelter requests, collaborating with community resources, executing diversion tactics, and maintaining records. Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills are vital for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Answer and manage the Shelter Support Line calls
• Execute diversion strategies to help prevent homelessness
• Record and process intake forms for recent clients




• Coordinate with external service providers as necessary
• Ensure clients receive personal and practical support daily
Requirements:
• Completed high school and relevant specialized courses
• Experience in a social service setting, ideally three months or more
• Knowledge of PEI housing support services
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 and Excel
• Criminal Police Investigation Check required
