As a Production Assistant at CHCH News, you’ll work part-time in a team-oriented environment. This role involves assisting producers and journalists while gaining hands-on experience in live news production. You'll monitor current events in the Hamilton, Halton, Brant, and Niagara regions, ensuring timely content delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate on newscast production with team members
• Monitor social media channels for breaking news
• Upload clips to chch.com and other platforms
• Coordinate with Master Control & Traffic as needed
• Undertake other duties as required by the team
Requirements:
• At least six months of live news production experience
• Strong organizational and grammar skills
• Broadcast diploma or equivalent desired
• Clean driver’s license essential
• Familiarity with ENPS, Adobe Premiere Pro, and WordPress
Contribute to local journalism at CHCH News in Hamilton.
