Dawson Road Maintenance seeks a Class 1 or 3 Seasonal Operator to clear icy roads and ensure traveler safety. This temporary, full-time role prioritizes effective collaboration and safety.
As a Seasonal Operator, you will report to the Road Foreperson while working in Smithers, Carnaby, or Stewart, BC. The ideal candidate has at least two years of road maintenance and construction experience, ensuring operational excellence while navigating through challenging winter conditions. You’ll engage in tasks such as snow removal, heavy equipment operation, and daily reporting, making your contribution critical to maintaining safe roadways.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate heavy equipment safely in adverse weather
• Explicit snow and ice to maintain road safety




• Collaborate with team members for efficient task completion
• Maintain accurate work reports and activity logs
• Conduct minor maintenance on equipment
Requirements:
• Class 1 or 3 Drivers license required
• Two years of road maintenance experience
• Snow removal experience preferred
• Familiarity with road construction processes
• Heavy Equipment Operating Certificate a plus
