Position: Senior Systems Analyst

Duration: 6 Months assignment (contract)
Client Location: Toronto (Onsite/Hybrid: 7.25 hours/day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday)

About the Engagement

Akkodis is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Analyst to support enterprise performance reporting, business intelligence, data integration, and process automation initiatives.

The successful consultant will leverage advanced Power BI, SQL, data modelling, and business analysis expertise to design and deliver scalable reporting solutions, integrated datasets, and automated business processes. This role requires a strong blend of analytical, technical, and stakeholder-management capabilities, with the ability to transform complex business requirements into actionable and decision-ready reporting solutions. The consultant will work closely with business leaders, Finance, PMO, application teams, and I⁢ stakeholders to support enterprise reporting and performance management objectives.

Scope

Gather, analyze, document, and validate business and reporting requirements.

Design, develop, and support enterprise reporting solutions using Power BI and related Microsoft technologies.

Build and maintain dashboards, scorecards, KPI reporting, and trend analysis solutions.





Develop and optimize Power BI semantic models, datasets, data models, and visualizations.

Assignment Deliverables

Enterprise Power BI dashboards and interactive reporting solutions.

Data models, semantic models, and integrated reporting datasets.

Business requirements documentation and technical specifications.

KPI frameworks, reporting standards, and performance measurement solutions.

Data integration and transformation designs.

Expertise Required

Must Have:

Demonstrated knowledge and experience with the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, solution design, development, testing, implementation, and post-deployment support.

Ability to quickly understand existing applications, data structures, reporting ecosystems and business processes.

Advanced Power BI development including DAX, Power Query/M, data modelling, semantic models and Power BI Service.

Solid SQL and data modelling knowledge, including relational databases, dimensional modelling, facts, dimensions and star-schema concepts, with the ability to understand and work with SQL-based data sources when required.

Experience integrating and modelling data from multiple systems and data sources, including enterprise and third-party applications.





Experience supporting and troubleshooting existing Power BI solutions in production.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify data, process and performance gaps and recommend improvements.

Experience with Power BI RLS, workspace management, and security.

Experience with Power Apps, Power Automate.

Advanced Excel skills, including Power Query, Power Pivot and VBA/macros where applicable.

Nice to Have:

Experience working in environments with multiple BI, analytics, development, and data teams supporting shared enterprise datasets and reporting assets.

Python or other scripting experience for data analysis, reporting automation, or data processing.

Security Clearance
