Senior QA Developer, Full-Time opportunity In office - Location: Richmond Hill, Ontario

Your Impact:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior QA Developer to join the Trading Grid Translation Services (TGTS) engineering team. This role is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and stability of our enterprise products and services, including customer-facing cloud services and on-premises applications. The successful candidate will serve as a key quality advocate throughout the software development lifecycle, partnering closely with Development, Product Management, Support, and Operations teams to deliver high-quality releases and exceptional customer experiences.

This position requires a strong combination of test automation expertise, technical problem-solving skills, product knowledge, and the ability to investigate complex customer and production issues. The Senior QA Developer will play a critical role in maintaining release quality, improving automation coverage, validating deployments, and supporting rapid resolution of customer-impacting issues.

What the role offers:

Design and execute comprehensive test strategies, plans, and test cases for enterprise software products.

Develop and maintain automated regression test suites to improve product quality and release efficiency.

Perform functional, integration, system, regression, and end-to-end testing across applications.

Conduct performance, load, scalability, and reliability testing for cloud and on-premises solutions.

Validate software deployments, upgrades, and release readiness to ensure production stability.

Collaborate with developers to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve defects throughout the software lifecycle.

Investigate customer-reported issues and analyze logs, metrics,



and test results to support root-cause analysis.Drive QA process improvements, support Agile release activities, and promote best practices in quality engineering and test automation.

What you'll need to succeed:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent skilled experience.

7+ years of experience in software quality assurance, including test automation and enterprise application testing.

Strong expertise in developing automated tests using modern frameworks, tools, and programming languages.

Hands-on experience with API, integration, and service-level testing in complex environments.

Proven ability to troubleshoot, reproduce, and resolve customer-reported issues in distributed systems.

Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.

Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams, with excellent communication, collaboration, and multitasking abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with cloud-based services and microservices architectures.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated quality gates.
- Knowledge of EDI, B2B integration, data transformation, or supply chain integration solutions.
- Experience with performance and scalability testing tools.
- Familiarity with containerized environments and Kubernetes-based deployments.
- Experience supporting enterprise customers and production environments.
- Experience mentoring QA engineers and driving quality initiatives across teams.

Compensation: At OpenText, we offer a thoughtfully designed benefits package that supports your physical, emotional, and financial wellbeing. As you move through the hiring process, we’re happy to provide more details about our compensation programs, including variable and commission compensation opportunities for eligible roles, vacation entitlement, and paid time off.

Salary Range: $81,600.00 - $122,400.00; Depending on the candidate’s education, experience, skills, geographical location, and alignment with internal equity and external market, actual salary may vary and be higher or lower than the range posted.
