Extendicare is hiring Personal Support Workers to deliver direct care in our retirement homes. Ideal candidates will possess a PSW qualification, with preferred experience in dementia and palliative care settings. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including assisting with daily living activities while ensuring compliance with relevant policies and care plans.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist residents with bathing, feeding, and grooming
• Implement personal care plans and document progress
• Facilitate positive interactions with residents and families




• Communicate effectively with medical and support staff
• Adhere to safety standards and protocols at all times
Requirements:
• Completion of a recognized PSW program
• Experience in retirement homes, preferably with dementia patients
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to provide comprehensive personal support
• Willingness to meet the diverse needs of residents
