Payroll, Benefits and Pension SpecialistResponsibilitiesReporting to the Manager of Payroll and Benefits, this position is responsible for payroll, benefits and pension administration, advisory services to employees, business process and technological innovation, and record management. The role ensures compliance with a variety of legislative requirements, benefit plans, pension plans and collective agreements.QualificationsA post‑secondary diploma in a related field, a Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation or equivalent, and a minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience—preferably in a large, unionized workplace—or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates must possess advanced proficiency with computer software—particularly Microsoft Excel—including extensive experience developing, maintaining and analyzing complex spreadsheets using features such as Pivot Tables and multi‑worksheet workbooks.Additional RequirementsSuccessful candidates may be required to complete a Criminal Record Check.Compensation and BenefitsCUPE Pay Level 6 with a starting wage of $51,305.80 per year,



progressing to Step 5 as per the CUPE Collective Agreement.
