The Lead Data Center Electrical Engineer will interact daily with Contractors, Engineers, Commissioning Agents, and Vendors and should have both written and oral communication skills commensurate with this level of regular communication.Key AccountabilitiesPartner with internal and external stakeholders to define project scope requirements, deviations from the standards, and communicating requirements with the design team.Review design documents, bid packages, and schedules to ensure conformance with contract expectations, noting and resolving issues or conflicts that could impact installation or other trades involved with projectIdentify and ensure implementation of standards and low-cost alternatives,



ensuring key stakeholders are kept informed of issues affecting the projectCollaborate with the procurement team to review OFCI equipment submittals for compliance with the standard design criteria.Review construction documents for completeness and constructabilityProvide design and installation support (Ex: RFI) to on-site staff, EPC contractor, and EPC project management teamSupport project teams in resolving design issues discovered during construction and commissioning phases.Work with consultants to develop and review Short Circuit, Coordination, and Arc Flash studies for adherence to the design standards.Assist Development leadership and Project Manager with day-to-day activities and responsibilitiesConduct effective pre-construction planning sessionsReview project proposals with engineering and site development teams to advise on project schedules, limitations, procedures for accomplishing projectsVerify that construction agrees with engineering design drawings, including preparatory meetings, and QA/QCPerform field observations and provide installation support as part of the construction quality assurance processManage multiple projects simultaneouslyRequired Skills7+ years’ experience in construction management, design, design management, or relevant field5+ years’ experience with data center design and/or construction projectsBachelor’s Degree in Electrical EngineeringExperience with electrical engineering systems and their integration into mission-critical environments.Preferred SkillsLicensed Qualified Engineer (preferred but not required)$145,000 - $175,000 a yearThe listed salary range for this position is an estimate based on the competitive job market.
