Hays is recruiting for a Project Manager on behalf of a well-established Ottawa construction and restoration contractor.

Our client has been operating in the Ottawa market for decades and provides a broad range of services including commercial renovations, tenant improvements, additions, reconstruction, disaster restoration, property management capital projects, and select new construction assignments. Over the years, the company has grown from a small local contractor into a full-service construction and restoration business serving commercial, residential, industrial, and institutional clients across the region.

Your new role

Reporting to senior leadership, you will be responsible for budgeting, scheduling, procurement, subcontractor management, client communication, site coordination, change management, and overall project delivery.

Project work is varied and can include commercial renovations, tenant improvements, reconstruction projects, additions, restoration assignments, and property management-related capital work. This position is best suited to someone who enjoys working across a wide range of project types and values a hands-on approach to project delivery.

What you'll need to succeed

5+ years of Project Management experience within construction





Experience delivering commercial renovations, fit-ups, restoration, additions, or similar projects

Strong understanding of project financial management, scheduling, procurement, and contract administration

Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders concurrently

Excellent communication and relationship management skills

A proactive and solutions-oriented approach.
